Unfortunately I have never met a celebrity anywhere, except some cricket players a long long time ago. But one of my friends was visiting Sydney from New York and it was New Year's Eve. And she met a Bollywood celebrity, in fact a superstar, and his name is Hritik Roshan. He is a heart-throb really. She went up to him, and not only asked for his autograph which he was happy to give, she even posed with him for a photo, which literally went viral on the net!! Lucky gal!
Tons. I don't ask for autographs or photos tho. My favourite - I went to introduce myself to Michael Parkinson (because I thought he was a friend of my dad's - fortunately partner saved me from that embarrassment - but Parky did extend his hand and was quite prepared to chat to me, he thought it was funny, so it must happen all the time). And other fav was Niki Lauda at the Opera House - he was just strolling around and kindly posing for photos with Japanese tourists....
I ran into John Cleese one day in the Foodhall of David Jones Market Street
Jamie Durie and Rob Palmer on a work function recently. Have also had the privilege to meet (also work related) the guy behind Dame Edna, as well as meeting and interviewing Alicia Coutts and Napoleon Perdis. Also got to meet music band Noiseworks, and U2, again all work related. There have been other celebrities, yet these ones are grounded, and really nice people when you get to know them as people.
We met Jessica Mauboy last year at the Queen Victoria Building and what a lovely person she was. Although she was being rushed off by the security guards, she gracefully stopped to pose for pictures with us and to give the kids her autograph. It's so great to see her go from strength to strength in her career. She definitely deserves it.
Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy - Dr Who no. 6 and and 7 - got Autography and photo
Michal Caine - QVB building
Mike Withley - Shell Garage - said hello.
Peter O'Brian and Miranda Otto - Swimming Pool - got photo
John Forman - know family
there are more, just can't remember

I haven't met any real celebrities yet (just a few reality show contestants) but if you're looking for some well-known faces you just need to head to Bondi (if it's summer), where you'll find the guys from Bondi Rescue.
Guy Sebastian and Adriano Zumbo
Angelina Jolie was filming for her movie on Pitt St when I was at Pitt St mall.
I've seen Hugh Jackman at my brothers rugby match. His son was playing on the opposing team. He was lovely and waved at everyone.
Just the other day I saw Glenn McGrath at my corner shops. He lives in my area. Also Steve Waugh, when he drops off his son at the bus stop we drop off my brother at. And I've seen Ricky Ponting running on our street. Lots of cricketers.
I once shared an elevator in a hotel with George Michael. I was too nervous and shy to say anything though - he was having a very intense conversation with his friend!
I've met Guy Sebastian in a furniture store and Hugo Weaving at a netball game!
I met the legendary James Brown at Sydney Airport when I was younger!
