So tricky to decide. For Chocolate Brownies - Sweet Infinity at the Strand Arcade in the city is unbeatable. Otherwise for macarons - both Laduree and any Adriano Zumbo Patisser is gold. For plain cupcakes with chocolate sprinkles, I'd have to go with an i-heart suburban bakery: Narwee Bakery. At $1.20 a pop, sensational value is enjoyed. For French food, and for fruit tarts: Cest Bon in Darling Street Rozelle. Yum :)
The question is what is the best cake in Sydney, and that then requires the destination to get it! I would say Baked Ricotta Cheesecake, and that can only be purchased at Pasticceria Pappa in Haberfield. Everything else is a waste of time... ;)
Oh this is a tricky one. I can honestly say that I have consumed quite a lot of cake in my life so far. My favourite cake stores include asian Hot Bread stores, found in places like Carlingford Court and Chinatown in the city, Michel's Patisserie near Central Station and the Cheesecake Shop in Northmead but my absolute favourite (and this has remained unchanged for a long time) is the Sara Lee store in Northmead. This is a factory outlet store and so the cakes are cheaper, and yet still exceedingly tasty. The address is Shop 1, Northmead Plaza, Cnr Campbell Street & Windsor Road, in Northmead.
