Sydney is known as the 'harbour city' after all, and with a great climate, you'd want to spend some time along such aqua beauty, with great architecture that makes Sydney unique. On that note, what is the best way to see Sydney Harbour? Spend some time at Circular Quay or The Rocks, either by walking or dining out at some great restaurants? Get wet in a jet-ski? Book yourself in on a private cruise? Hop on the Manly Ferry?

It really all depends on the person, and what their hobbies and interests are. For instance, if you get seasick quite easily, you'd keep away from boating. If you want to conquer your fear of heights, you might add Bridgeclimb to your 'bucket list' for instance. Some people might like the views from Luna Park etc.

Anything on a boat is great, except for whale watching and deep sea fishing, where it is easier to get sea sick for many people. Driving a sailboat/yacht underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge a few months before moving to Sydney was gold, as per the blurry picture, taken by a friend. It was worth cancelling my original flight back to Melbourne after work, to spend a Thursday night on the harbour in April last year, with a great group of people I'd just met, having just made the last flight available that night back to Melbourne. Despite having to concentrate as I had a few lives in my hands, it was great to soak in the ambience of Sydney Harbour.

Any cruise is fantastic: pampering, general and nightclubbing. Great ways to see Sydney Harbour. Love it when the boat goes right underneath the harbour bridge. The Manly Ferry is an affordable and popular way to spend some time on Sydney Harbour :)
The esplanade around the Sydney Harbour is a great way to be close to the harbour, visit the boutiques, cafes, restaurants and take the breeze in. This is for all those who can have motion sickness if on a cruise. Otherwise, a cruise is probably the best way to "experience" the harbour and enjoy the stunning views.
Ferry - we used to just go for rides when the kids were little, round trip with out getting off barely cost anything - but still see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House from the water!
Helicopter tours with aerial view of the harbor and the city.
I haven't done it myself, but one of my friends took the adventure climb over Sydney Harbour Bridge, and she came back with splendid stories of what she saw from up there. I guess that is another good way of viewing the Harbour.
I like the idea of anything that let's you feel completely immersed in the setting and allows you to see heaps of it at once, so I'd say the Bridge Climb and trips on the harbour itself, such as the Manly ferry.
Must go on a Manly Ferry every time I visit Sydney!
Next time, I'll go, as well, on a Lunch Harbour Cruise!
Enjoy mooching around 'The Rocks' area. Fab food in various eateries'.
Many times went to Sydney as a child, & have THE happiest memories' from the 'Harbour City'.............
IF your a senior like we are, use your Opal card, all day on all the ferries, for only $2.50 per day. How good is that?!!! I love the ferries.
