As you may already be aware, the Sydney Film Festival is on between the 4th - 15th of June 2014. A range of quirkly, enjoyable and insightful, thought provoking films will be part of this event. Do you see any of them? Or do you just prefer to go to the movies when you feel like it only?
The Sydney Film Festival is great because it brings a much wider range and awareness of independent films to Sydney. It is nice to have a whole range of films to choose from that will not only entertain you but challenge your mind. You can see the full list here: http://www.sff.org.au/public/films/
I will admit that if you are not free those eleven days in June then Dendy's and other smaller festivals tend to offer screenings of many of the films that appear at the festival. Also it is usually too cold in the city during winter nights to be venturing to various cinemas across town!
Personally, I do like going to the movies, and have seen a few Dendy like independent films at the Sydney Film Festival in the past, however, I've lost that movie spark at the moment. No time, my business needs me right now!
I went to the Sydney Film Festival years ago, on my own, for 4 years & it was great fun.I had a daytime ticket, 10am-5pm. Then a new bridge was built where I live, & we had 1/2 the bus service, with no buses on Sundays, so I had to stop going.
