Whenever I head back to Sydney I try to go to some of the markets. Sydney has a very diverse and interesting market scene and I am often surprised by how amazing some of the markets are, even ones I have never heard of before.
I love the Glebe Markets but over the years they seem to have lost some of their cool as artists and crafts people have moved out of the inner city due to increasing rental costs.
What is the coolest market in Sydney? Not the best, not the cheapest, not the trendiest, but the where all the cool people go.
Hi Roy, ever so grateful you've joined in the fun of Toppa Sydney, cheers for that :) Markets, wow wee where do we start? Rozelle Markets is good for some funky second hand goods...one person's trash is someone else's treasure. Found a funky Zumbo cookbook (as new0 here recently. Glebe Markets are pretty cool - funky stuff. Looking forward to checking out the Paddo Bazaar again soon too!
I guess it depends on what your definition of cool is, but I think the Kirribilli markets are pretty cool. Live local music, lots of food, vintage finds, and the Harbour Bridge as a backdrop. Pretty great!
