When eggs and bacon are not an option, but you still want to go out and enjoy a nice cooked breakfast - where are the best places to go? Who does creative vegetarian options that are still full of flavour?
Badde Manors in Glebe is the original and best Vegetarian cafe in Sydney. The menu is all so delicious that it took me several visits to realise it was Vegetarian! Older folks I know reminisce about visiting there on weekends when they studied at Uni, so it's an institution and definitely still a great place to meet up for an awesome brekky plate and rad coffee.
Bloom the Healthy Food Co in Mosman has amazing vegetarian options for breakfast. Their menu changes with the seasons because they like to use fresh and local produce, but at the moment you can get things like breakfast bruschetta, a quinoa mushroom trio or a vegetarian breakfast wrap. There's so much more as well, I wrote all about it over on Sydney Food Lovers.
Olive Green's Cafe in Newtown has a lovely selection of vegetarian breakfast meals, including a make-your-own range. This great idea allows you to put together whatever available ingredients you want, including haloumi, asparagus, avocado and eggs. They've got lots of different freshly baked breads, as well as plenty of healthy juices to go with your breakkie.
