Pitt Street Mall is one retail therapy hotspot in the city
The city is a hive of activity when it comes to some retail therapy. There are many annual shopping events that entice those to come out and spend big, yet preferably wisely. Sydney is fast becoming a shopping mecca, for all things fashionable and trendy. Where is the best place to enjoy some retail therapy in the city?
QVB and The Galeries Victoria (right across the road) are both great shopping destinations too. I've been stuck in the city more than once having to get a great gift at the last minute and found it at one of the specialty stores in the QVB, it's always worth going all the way to the top too for the fantastic MOMA store and toy stores etc. If it's you you want a gift for, pretty much anything you can think of is there on one of the levels - including a food court, cupcake shop and famous laksa house downstairs (perfect for giving the feet a break after a hard morning's shopping). The setting is rather grand and stunning too, and something is usually happening around this part of the city if you walk around during the day.
Agree. Pitt Street Mall. The transformation was worth the wait. Westfield's brought Skygarden; the Imperial Arcade; Centrepoint, and Sydney Central Plaza to bring out Westfield Sydney. This part of the city came to life again in December 2010, after being a construction site for two years. A great place to go shopping now. Mid City Centre too.
