Quirky public art in an unexpected place in Sydney
Art is becoming ever so popular in Sydney. Events such as Art & About are driving Sydney as the city of culture - and the arts. On that note, where is the best public art display in Sydney? Why so? Is such a cool display a sculpture? Or street art? Are our lane ways just as legendary as our southern neighbours Melbourne? Can any quirky art displays be found in Sydney? If so, where?
Sydney is becoming an independent arts hub in itself. Our fabulous city is like the new Melbourne. We have most definitely re-invented ourselves. Some of the best public art, and not in any particular order:
1. Mural/street art in May St - St Peters (right near the train station)
2. The Italian Pig - outside Sydney Hospital
3. As in the picture - actually taken at the Royal Botanical Gardens
4. Bird cages right next to The Ivy/Martin Place
