Buying lunch in the city shouldn't be an ordeal. Buying a healthy lunch should be even easier. But Subway and chain salad joints can get boring quick, and aren't group lunch friendly. Do you know of any healthy eateries in the CBD that I could take my fellow suits to?
If you find yourself stuck inside a shopping centre during lunch hours at least there are now a few more healthy choices than there used to be. I find myself heading towards the sushi, sandwich or salad bars (like Sumo). The recent establishment of fresh sushi bars in Woolworths chains of late has also made it easier to get a healthy meal on the run.
Sumo Salad is pretty great as they have options for everyone. Low GI, gluten free, Weight Watchers friendly - whatever you need, they pretty much have it. And I find their food really quite filling too, which isn't always the case with healthy eating establishments.
In the search for a healthy and tasty salad in Sydney CBD I came across a place called "Salad Bar" (http://www.saladbar.com.au) quite close to Central Station. They have a really nice range of different salads, I recommend the Bombay Chicken. If your after another healthy alternative other than a leafy mess, there are some delicious baguettes, wraps and other options available.
