I headed to The Star for the first Australian game, and was pleased to see the crowd was split about 50-50 with an equal number of Chileans to Socceroos fans. (Interestingly, all the green and gold moved to the seats and the back, while the red and blue took to the front.) It made for a great game, score aside for the Aussies.
Where do you go to watch if supporting another team, other that Australia? Please give the place and the Nationality.
Obviously anywhere on Norton Street for Italy (Bar Sport has a tv outside for standing room, if fully booked). There is also a little café on Crystal Street in Petersham, that spills over to the street every World Cup, and yes, mainly Italian. But very keen to hear where the Dutch and Germans go?
Such a wonderful question. I'd have to say The Star as well. The Wallabies bar nearby is also a great locale - to watch any nationality play. Find it quite interesting that the roos fans were right at the back at The Star, an the Chileans at the Front. Italy at Norton St pubs for sure!
