Whether you're on a first or subsequent date - just exactly where is the best place to go dating in Sydney? Is there a particular bar of choice? A particular landmark? Is there a particular restaurant that is perfect for such occasions? Why? Maybe it might entail a certain activity at a certain place? For example, hopping on a ferry to go to an intimate beach side location.

Surprisingly, Cockatoo Island. Manly is great also, and so is Darling Harbour. It is great to have a heart dinner at Brighton-Le-Sands, and spend some time on the beach afterwards. Really great in windy weather. Great with an ice cream from the beautiful ice creamery across the road also. La Perouse nearby is also quite romantic, in a simple way.
Manly is great for hanging out, taking a romantic walk, play in the sand and grab some tasty bites.
A walk through Sydney's Botanical gardens is a treat during Spring. Then you can head to Mrs Macquarie's Chair for the perfect Sydney icon lookout or photo (and potential kiss).
For some fun, great food and people watching try Newtown and you will not be bored. There are Thai, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Asian, Polish and all sorts of restaurants in the one street! You will be spoiled for choice. Not to mention the cocktail and wine bars. You won't get bored on a date, even if your date was boring. Newtown makes the perfect date atmosphere. With only a short stroll down to Glebe where you can go for a walk by the water, everything is so close by!
Cockatoo Island bar would impress anyone, and be fun!
One of my favourite restaurants to visit on a date is the Red Spoon Thai Restaurant and Bar in Top Ryde. I have been here several times with my boyfriend and I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. It is truly lovely there.
