best place to buy gluten free groceries in sydney, best place to buy gluten free foods in sydney
To date, I've found one supermarket.

Eating gluten free is now doctors orders for me for the time being - to give me clear skin again. I know there are an abundance of great gluten free friendly restaurants, however hunting out the best place to buy gluten free groceries for the home in Sydney is proving to be more of a challenge. I will be interested to read your answers on this one. Is there a particular supermarket you go to - to buy gluten free food?

Choices Gluten Free is brilliant. If you have just gone gluten free and are missing your carbs, Choices offers bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, pizzas - you name it, they have it, gluten free. The main store is in Turramurra but they have a few stockists around Sydney and you can also order online and get it delivered to your home.
In the past six months or so Coles has also introduced its own gluten free range into its supermarkets. There are not many options but if you are after an easy cake mix or cereal it is good.
Thanks heaps. I'll definitely check out Choices Gluten Free. Now I owe you 4 karma points.
I've tried Choices, but as someone who's been Coeliac for years I found their stuff really lacking in the taste department. There are some wonderful options when it comes to gluten free breads, pastas, cakes, cookies, etc., and I just don't think they live up to the others any more.

Thomas Dux at Crown Street Surry Hills so far. I have heard that Coles have launched a Gluten Free range, yet need to do some research on that one.
There's a lot more gluten free stuff available in supermarkets now - even Woolies, Coles, and my local IGA have GF pasta, bread, cakes etc. If you can get there, there is a large organic supermarket in Rozelle, and there's also Dr Earth in Newtown that has lots of good products.

If you want a sweet treat, the best thing is the chocolate GF cupcake at Ghermez!
I'm a fan of Thomas Dux, having frequented the one in Crows Nest a lot. Coles, Woolworths and IGA have some good selections these days, and a lot of butchers do gluten free sausages (some of my favourites coming from Tender Gourmet Meats at the Warringah Westfield, and Penny's Quality Butchers in Mosman).
I also find that most deli's in Sydney have a great gluten free selection, as well as a lot of markets (check out the Everyday Goodness Company who do stalls at many markets selling gluten free quiches, vegetable rolls, cakes, tartlets, and the best sausage rolls ever) so if there's any nearby you I'd check them out.
