There are many reasons for buying a beautiful bouquet, and just as many styles that you can get. Whether a quick bunch to sit in a vase at home, or something ornate to give to a loved one, where do you think is the best place to buy flowers in Sydney?

Black Orchid in Dulwich Hill has absolutely beautiful flowers - the sort of things you don't see often. Their window displays are always gorgeous, the ladies are wonderful and can whip something together for you in five minutes that looks WAY more expensive than what it actually is!

The Flower Room in Newtown is always worth a look, and for cheapies I can never go past the colourful bunches out the front of Dr Earth, also in Newtown.
Thanks Ally for other worthy suggestions, and welcome back :)
There are two places on Military Road in Mosman that I like: Floriade (for something a little fancy), and Best Fruit at Mosman (for big but well-priced bunches).
If I just want something to put on the windowsill to brighten my place up though, I'll just grab a grocery store bunch. When I get home I trim and rearrange them, and they can come up really nice.
Thanks kerri, brilliant answer and welcome back :)
Great question. Yum, I love fresh flowers in my lovely house. Painted white walls and polished chocolate floorboards in the living room - you've gotta have some fresh flowers. David Jones at Elizabeth Street is good, and Pearson's at Darlinghurst. Sadly Christopher's has closed down on Oxford St - they were great and affordable. Keep the suggestions coming guys :)
As Ally mentioned previously, my favourite place is the Flower Room in Newtown. As well as flowers, they've also got potted succulents, bonsais, and other pretty plants. The fit-out is gorgeous too, it feels like being in a colourful jungle.
