Comic books and graphic novels are increasingly becoming a popular industry thanks to a number of TV shows and movies dedicated to their characters. Whether you're a fan of superheroes or quirky characters, where do you like to buy comic books in Sydney?
Kings Comics on Pitt Street is brilliant! I went through a comic book phase and that was where I always went. They have comics, graphic novels, manga and even toys and collectibles! If it is comic related, they have it.
I have to admit that being female, and only just having begun to dip my toe into the world of comic books (and not being into any of the superheroes), dedicated comic book stores feel a little intimidating. So I love going to Kinokuniya, because they are a book store with a very big comic section where I can browse to my heart's content without feeling self conscious.
Elizabeth's Bookshop in Pitt St has a pretty big selection. Being a second hand bookshop, it doesn't have that intimidating vibe that some comic book shops can have, so you can browse to your heart's content.
While Kinokuniya has an amazing selection, I always like to support small comic stores, because it's hard to get by in that business! King's Comics in Sydney is great, super friendly, and they'll always order stuff in for you if you have a particular request.
