With so many rainy days lately in Sydney, it's become important to always make sure you take an umbrella out with you. And umbrellas don't just have to be something practical any more - there are tonnes of fun and fashionable ones out there for someone who wants to have a little fun with their rain gear. Where in Sydney do you think you can get the best (or best value) umbrellas?
The place in the photograph is Global Brands Direct located on George Street in the Sydney CBD, and as you can see they have lots of stylish umbrellas. They are all $10.
Otherwise, I bought myself an umbrella from Daiso in the Mandarin Centre at Chatswood for $2.80. It's actually very similar to the ones in the question picture, but is made from that thick clear plastic (with a pale blue handle and pastel polka dots all over it). For such a bargain price it's been good quality, and has kept me nice and dry.
Brilliant question Kerri, and so appropriate right now. There are quality umbrellas at Oroton in the city, otherwise I've found a cute girly one at Woolworths at Town Hall for less than $10. Hey, some umbrellas fall apart anyway. Rain rain please go away...just for a day...
I usually get mine from Kmart or Big W - the larger sized ones are more reliable than the smaller ones. But my sister bought me a Doctor Who umbrella from the ABC shop for my birthday last year and I've been using that since!
