Parks pave the way for full immersion in nature, and they're great places to unwind in. Parks in Sydney are fantastic, whether you're enjoying yourself while alone or with others. Take your dog for a walk. Have a picnic. Host a BBQ. Host a kids birthday party. Use as a vantage point for the popular Sydney New Years Eve fireworks. Maybe even participate in a fun run, and/or any other sporting event. Get some exercise in general. Play soccer? Attend little athletics? Attend school sports carnivals? Engage in a personal training session or two? Go walking? Go bike riding? The latter comprises of some of the top ways our parks keep us fit, for both kids and adults alike to get you thinking. Which park do you love in Sydney? Why? The facilities? The size? Location? Parking available?
One of my favourite parks is Clontarf Reserve. It has BBQs, sheltered tables, showers, toilets, large trees which provide shade and best of all it is located next to Clontarf Beach. The beach has no waves so is perfect for swimming, paddleboard riding, kayaking and canoeing. You will also find "Clonny's" a café/kiosk which serves hot food, snacks, good coffee and ice cream.
