Sydney loves watching movies, and now you can do so outside of the usual indoor cinema complex. This city has several events popping up, particularly in Summer, for your outdoor viewing pleasure. Please share them here for everyone to enjoy.
They used to show Harry Potter in the Quad at Sydney Uni for the Verge Festival and everyone would dress up - it looked just like Hogwarts. That was my favourite.
Very keen to try the new (old) Drive in...if that counts.
Sydney 'Moonlight Cinema is currently open until March 23rd. I was given vouchers to attend. Upcoming movies include Captain Philips, Dallas Buyers Club, Philomena, Frozen, Breakfast at Tiffany's, One flew over the Cuckoos Nest. So it's a mix of old and new. It's at Centennial Park. Good fun. Hot food sole also.
I used to LOVE going to the drive-in, with my now husband (of 47 & 3/4 years,) close to where we live, back in the mid '60's. When he just went with his brothers & a mate, 1 of them would hide in the boot to get in for free, but after a while they were caught out!!! I haven't been to any outdoor movies since then!
