Yes, we're nuts about Sydney here at Toopa Sydney as you can tell. Furthermore, Sydney people love their nuts.
Sydney, I get that some of you are allergic to nuts - especially the peanut variety. On the other hand, we do love our nuts. There are two places in the CBD that come to mind, including a family business celebrating 75 years of service. Where are the best nuts in Sydney? If you don't eat nuts, then who do you know within your circle of friends and family who likes nuts, and where do they go for their nutty fix?
Nutorious in the QVB has some super amazing caramelised nuts. You can smell the warm, sweet scent of the store from a mile away and I can never walk past without my mouth watering just a little. The caramelised macadamias are a standout.
Nutorious at the QVB is great. My favourite is The Nut Shop in the elegant Strand Arcade. Love their Vienna Almonds (apparently their best seller), as well as their chocolate coated nuts. Adorable macadamia nuts - so fresh with that flavour from a macadamia nut farm. The nuts at David Jones Food Hall on Market St are also divine.
The Nut Shop at the Strand Arcade is great! They also have a factory at Waterloo that offers awesome discounts. I am also a bit of a fan of Your Nuts who do yummy caramelised nuts at markets including Glebe and Bondi.
Here's a good idea. Head just out of Sydney to beautiful Mt Irvine or Mt Wilson and pick your own Walnuts or Chestnuts.
The main season for this is Autumn. Just hit google to find out where, or drive around and see the signs outside the properties.
As an aside, MT Wilson is simply beautiful in the autumn with all the fallen leaves and beautiful colours. It is a very popular tourist spot.
