Singing when we're sober or otherwise is a famous Sydneysider ritual. Some great karaoke bars are giving us all a good run for our singing voices in groups. Where is the best karaoke bar in Sydney? The one where you've had the most fun?
The best karaoke bar for me would have to be Big Echo Karaoke Bar on Bathurst street. Their list of English songs covers new releases and classics, and there's many other languages available, including Korean. There's food and drink, and if you love to belt out song after song, this place is perfect because it's one of the only ones that gives you four mics! Cue harmonies!
Went to an 80's party night at Strike KSW - amazing. Loved their karaoke rooms. Otherwise Mizuya's is good. Love K1 at Haymarket. Ample space is enjoyed, as well as great tracks. So fun with the bubbly!
It's not a Karaoke "bar" (which I prefer as there is nothing better than watching strangers sing!) but Ding Dong Dang in Surry Hills is ULTRA popular. 6 people rooms are $30 per hour ($5 each). However, you can get rooms for up to 15 peeps, which makes for a load of fun! Otherwise I have heard tell of bar style karaoke at Chatswood RSL on Friday nights from 8pm, which has more of a down home relaxed suburbs flavour. Scruffy Murphys is another option. It is located in Golbourn St Sydney . Though not for the faint hearted it is a fun (read messy) night out! For a meal and karaoke try JuJu's in Kings cross, but be warned it kicks off late!.
