best free entertainment at sydneys pitt street mall, pitt street mall sydney
This man is an attention grabber on Sydney's Pitt Street Mall

Have to give it to the street entertainers that keep Pitt Street Mall in the city alive and happening. This is shoppers, walkers and entertainers paradise. From music to that man who stands still for prolonged periods of time - which free entertainment act (although not fully free, they would like you to pay them a bit of dough) do you love on Pitt Street Mall and why?

That standing man. Even some guests on the food tours I run also stop and admire him and comment. Also the two guys that perform music for us right underneath the bridge between Myer and Westfield Sydney are awesome. You guys do rock. You deserve every penny that goes into your guitar - awesome on a Sunday afternoon.
I used to love the little pet rat with the homeless man, they were a bit of an act just up from Pitt St Mall, but sadly the rat passed away late last year :( Apart from that, it's great to hear the live music there all the time, there's a number of artists i've seen there at times too i'm sure - from DJs and didjeridoo players to spray painters, robots that move when you put money in their box etc. The last few times I've been there there's always at least one or two homeless people there with their dogs. They let you pat/play with them if you give them coins I think.
i donít like walking through the Pitt St Mall, because of all the smokers puffing away, but twice when I was hurrying though the mall, I saw & heard a wonderful young female opera singer. Iíve always hoped since then, that sheís been Ďsighed upí She was the best voice Iíve heard there. I was surprised she was able to sing, with the smoke everywhere!
