There are an abundance of activities to enjoy on Australia Day in Sydney. In addition to the fireworks at Darling Harbour; Sydney's Hyde Park is host to some wonderful family friendly activities, and Macquarie Street relishes those vintage cars to the admiration of many. Which activity do you enjoy the most on Australia Day in Sydney? Why?
I like to wait for The Daily Telegraph to publish what each Council is doing for the special day and plan accordingly. Otherwise I look to my hometown's council events page. Liverpool Council is putting on a performance by X Factor finalists Third Degree, a Dora the Explorer Ballet Show and fireworks.
HIRE A BOAT. Sydney is full or bays so you don't have to go out on Sydney Harbour. Try Port Hacking River down south, very popular. If you have a boat license, great, but if not there are drivers too that can take you out onto the water. You can walk on the sand banks or ride jet skiis. Sometimes you'll even see dolphins.
