The hunt for the best aquatic centre in Sydney is on

Sydney, we're grateful for the different aquatic centres we have available. Who needs a swimming pool in their own home, when you can swim and gain some exercise on the cheap elsewhere. Where is the best aquatic centre in Sydney? Why? Ease of parking? Excellent service? Lane availability? Great aqua facilities for kids? Is there a swim school available? Maybe one where you can swim in the fast or medium lanes, and enjoy a productive swim without worrying about bumping into other swimmers - both in peak and off-peak times? Greater availability of lockers? Is there a health club on site? Are gym like classes also available? Sauna and spa facilities? Diving boards as well? More kid friendly than other aquatic centres?

I will be giving away 10 karma points to the most thoughtful answer on the 1st of November, excluding my own.

Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is awesome. Love swimming in the competition pool. Each lap takes about 40-60 seconds to swim at a moderate pace - backstroke. Entry is so cheap. Great locker facilities.

No karma awarded as per the incentive in the article, as I was the only contributor to submit an answer to this question. Never mind ):
That was until the 1st of November. Now I have just seen Vanessa's response. Thanks Vanessa :)
The aquatic centre in Ryde. It has normal lap pools buts also a slide, Rapid River and heaps more. It's much more than your average swimming pool.
The Birrong Leisure Centre is great if you have kids - there is a totally enclosed spray park with slides and a giant bucket all for the price of pool entry. Also, it has an inside and an outside pool. http://www.weekendnotes.com/birrong-leisure-centre/
